Paid Internships for Veterans - Now running!

The Bridging the Civil-Military Gap project has placed student veterans for Spring 2025 internships in a variety of positions around Kansas City. All internships are paid and carry three credit hours of course credit (credit hours may be negotiated). To be fully eligible, students should be military veterans or current service members.

The course consists of 1 credit hour in class (meeting a couple of times a month) training in social entrepreneurship and 2 credit hours (100 contact hours) on site at one of our internship partners.

Students can receive course credit in a variety of disciplines including political science, history,  criminal justice, and public administration. At the undergraduate level, students will be paid $16/hr for 100 hours. Graduate credit may be negotiated.

We will be enrolling a new class of 10 student veterans in the 2025-2026 academic year.
