Shengping Huang
Shengping grew up in China, and he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from Hubei University. Continuing his academic journey, he pursued a Ph.D. at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), where his research focused on the interaction between the influenza virus and its host. Specifically, he dedicated his studies to uncovering the intrinsic motifs and extrinsic interaction partners of influenza virus nuclear export protein (NEP), which play crucial roles in facilitating the nuclear export of Influenza A viral ribonucleoprotein (vRNP). From his postdoctoral training, Shengping developed a keen interest in investigating protein trafficking across various cellular compartments and the migration of immune cells during inflammatory processes. Currently, his primary research focus revolves around unraveling of the molecular mechanisms that maintain the balance and stability of adherens junctions.
