Shivani is a Mass Spectrometry scientist with six+ years of experience in High-Resolution Spectrometry (Q-Tof, Orbitrap, and QTrap LC-MS/MS) based metabolomics and proteomics. Her area of specialization includes High-Throughput Screening of novel drugs against gram-positive bacteria. Next-Generation sequencing (Oxford Nanopore)on Vancomycin-Resistant enterococci, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Genetics.

Shivani undertook a Ph.D. in the laboratory of Dr. WIlliam Gutheil in Pharmacy at UMKC where she studied the Effects of Vancomycin on Resistant Enterococcus faecium. Shivani joined the Cox Lab in 2023 to undertake a PostDoc where she is focused on characterizing the function of AMOTL1 using proteomic and genomic approaches.
