Abhinav Krovvidi

I joined the Dissel lab in Early 2023 to pursue undergraduate research on Drosophila and memory. Soon after starting I was tasked with developing the protocol for the Appetitive Olfactory Memory Assay, working on developing the work on the T-Maze paradigm started by my predecessor. I then graduated the assay to include the more efficient Y-Maze paradigm and started the process of developing the protocol for Y-Maze testing. Since then, I have been working with the team in developing an alternative protocol for appetitive olfactory short-term memory utilizing the Y-Maze paradigm. I have graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology and am applying to medical school, where I plan to continue pursuing research and my love for clinical work. I like to spend my free time playing tennis, watching tv, and taking photos!
