Econometric Methods (graduate-level I)

This course will provide basic training in applied econometrics with an emphasis on interpretation and statistical intuition. Course goals are: 1) to help students develop a solid theoretical background in graduate-level econometrics, the ability to implement the techniques and to critique empirical studies in economics; 2) to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to conceptualize and carry out empirical projects using econometric analysis; 3) to familiarize students with the statistical and graphical programming environment R; 4) to equip students with the knowledge to read, understand, and critically engage with papers in contemporary journals and books that use econometric analysis.
