Semester: Fall
Year offered: 2024

This course will examine current issues, trends, and developments shaping labor in today's global economy. We will begin by exploring the nature of capitalism which tends to expand and generate inequality from the perspective of the global political economy. A follow-up module will help us understand the basic theories in international trade, production, and finance and have tools to assess power shifts between owners and workers, and the role of government and international financial institutions, as business goes global.
