Mutiat is working on optimizing synthetic antimicrobial peptides as antibacterial and antifungal agents and performing deep mutational analysis on multiple antimicrobial peptides to better understand their positional residue importance and flexibility.

Rabina is working on examining the sequence-activity relationships determining Protegrin-1 variant membrane selectivity and working to develop SLAY screens in human cells.

Xingyu is working on identifying novel alpha-hairpinin peptide sequences and adapting SLAY to function in yeast.

Jordan worked on examining the sequence importance and evolution of the insect antimicrobial peptide thanatin. He has since graduated with his master's degree and is working across the street in the Gibson Lab at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research as a full time Research Assistant.

Sara Lynn is currently working on examining the activities of Diptericins through a collaborative project with the Dr. Mark Hanson's lab at the University of Exeter.
