Catalog Description

An analysis of the relations among nations, with emphasis on structures of international power, causes of war, and approaches to peace.

What to expect?

This course is offered both online and in person synchronously. In both formats, students will learn through a combination of lecture and active learning. Students participate in simulations, taking on the roles of diplomats representing a variety of countries in United Nations Security Council meetings. Students also participate in groups assignments - creating proposals, presentations, and other work in collaboration and learning to apply the theories presented in readings and lecture.
