CEI researchers to present at the UMKC Community, Culture, and Cooperation Symposium

CEI director Dr. Linwood Tauheed and CEI research assistant Matthew Robinson will present their research at Community, Culture, Cooperation: Innovating Solutions to Economic Violence. This two-day symposium (March 8-9, 2024) is organized by the UMKC Department of Economics and will bring union and labor leaders, legal scholars, activists, and academics together to discuss how we can "effectively combat the economic violence embedded in our economic and political system".

Dr. Tauheed's presentation "What We Must Do Before Reparations!" draws on his decades-long experience in community economic development. Matthew's will discuss "Environmental Justice and Firearms Violence in Kansas City." Their panel is scheduled to begin at 1:15PM on March 9th.
