Tell me more about the Research Hubs pilot

Answer

CAFE is excited to invite 10 faculty to pilot OpenScholar Research Hubs!

OS Research Hubs is a powerful new way to showcase your work, connect with collaborators, and identify funding opportunities.

If you have a published OpenScholar site, you know you can already activate OS Match, a funding finder that is tuned to your research.  Check out CAFE's OpenScholar sitefor FAQs from our workshops.

If you haven’t started with OpenScholar yet (and even if you have!), you can engage the next level with OS Research Hubs for an auto-generated page (check out this example) that brings together your expertise, your network, and your publications with OS Match.  By July, the Hub will be a formal product with a user interface that pilot partners will be enhancing with their evaluations.

If you are selected as a participant, you’ll receive a personalized Research Hub webpage and curated funding opportunity matches tailored to your scholarship.

As a pilot participant, you will evaluate: 1 - Accuracy of the Hub content.  2 - Ease with which your Hub was created.  3 - Funding Matches delivered.

The time commitment is roughly 10–20 minutes per researcher to validate their Hub. After that, OS Match deliveries arrive in their inbox, and they choose what to engage with. We are asking faculty to evaluate the matches as well.

The pilot runs for 90 days. We announced the pilot on May 4 and the deadline to apply for the pilot is May 18, 2026.
