Kuocheng Wang

Kuocheng Wang is an undergraduate student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC). He maintains a strong cumulative GPA of 3.968/4.0 and is expected to graduate in 2028. Kuocheng's academic and research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, signal processing, computer vision, medical imaging, and AI applications in engineering and healthcare. He is currently affiliated with the MIGHTY Lab under the supervision of Dr. Md Ashikuzzaman, where he is developing his research skills and exploring interdisciplinary applications of electrical engineering, computing, and data-driven technologies. In April 2026, Kuocheng participated in the UMKC Research-A-Thon NSF NRT AI Challenge and received 5th place. This experience helped him gain exposure to AI-related research challenges, collaborative problem-solving, and academic presentation in a research-focused environment. Through his coursework in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Kuocheng has developed technical experience in circuit analysis, digital logic design, programming, and engineering computation. His technical skills include Python, C, MATLAB, Verilog, and PSPICE. He is interested in continuing to build his research experience and contributing to projects that combine AI, electrical engineering, and healthcare technology.
