PI Micah Wyssmann and coauthors from the University of Tennessee have published a paper in Experiments in Fluids. This paper provides new insights into the effects that the submergence level for boulders in mountainous streams has on flow field characteristics. This study has important implications to river engineering and restoration efforts in the presence of boulders.
