Our research improves understanding of flow and sediment transport processes as well as river-ecosystem interactions by using state-of-the-art instrumentation, unique experiments, and custom data-processing algorithms.
Contaminant Fate & Transport
We are investigating co-transport processes that may affect microplastics (MP) and PFAS transport in the environment.
Water and Environment Research
The Environmental Flow & Transport Processes Lab advances understanding of river and environmental flow characteristics, sediment transport processes, river-ecosystem interactions, and contaminant fate and transport in the environment. We use state-of-the-art measurement techniques to improve designs for hydraulic infrastructure and approaches to natural resource management.
