The Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Lab opened its door in the Division of Biological and Biomedical Systems at UMKC! We are located in Room 126 and 132 in Spencer Hall.

Abrahim is an undergraduate student working with Wantong in our lab. Their poster entitled "pH-Responsive Nanofibrils for Anticancer Drug Delivery" won the John Britt Poster Award out of all the STEM posters at the Great Plains Honors Council (GPHC) 2025 Conference.

Our first NIH grant has arrived. Dr. Yu was awarded a three-year R15 grant from NIH-NIAMS. We will work with graduate and undergraduate students on this exciting project to develop and evaluate mineralized collagen-based multizonal scaffolds for osteochondral regeneration.
