Dr. Xu is a Professor of Computer Science and serves as the Division Director of Computing, Analytics, and Mathematics in the School of Science and Engineering. Additionally, he is the Point of Contact for the Cybersecurity Center. Dr. Xu earned his BS, MS, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nanjing University, China. Prior to joining UMKC in 2019, he held faculty positions at several other institutions. His research areas include software security, access control, digital forensics, software testing, software-defined networking, and intelligent agents. Dr. Xu is a senior member of the IEEE.
