Student Outcomes

Comprised of four cohorts from Spring 2024- Fall 2025, 86 students completed the Center of Excellence in Spatial Computing (COESC) Program and received a micro credential in Spatial Computing.

Each cohort covered the Fundamentals of Spatial Computing, Spatial Computing Design, Spatial Data Analysis, and Human-Computer Interactions: VR/AR. Students also were given a Python Programming Basics training and access to a GPU server housed in the cluster of the Data Science and Analytics Innovation Center located at the University of Missouri Kansas City.

Students were also provided career and internship mentoring along with resume building.

Classes

5 week course with Classes conducted by UMKC and MU faculty and UMKC and MU PhD students. 

Four classes were conducted on the UMKC campus and one class held on the MU campus. On the MU campus the cohort visited the University of Missouri C.A.V.E.
