I am an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Foundations at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. My current research interests include school leadership, equity and social justice, program evaluation, and data science methods. My work appeared in leading peer-reviewed outlets, including the Educational Research Review, Educational Administration Quarterly, Educational Management Administration & Leadership, Early Childhood Education Journal, and International Journal of Science Education, among other journals.
At UMKC, I teach educational leadership and organizational behaviors, and research methods. I earned my Ph.D. in educational leadership from Western Michigan University and completed two years post-doctoral studies there before joining in UMKC.
I serve on the Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Educational Management and have reviewed manuscripts for more than 20 academic journals, including the American Educational Research Journal, British Educational Research Journal, Nature Human Behaviour, Review of Educational Research, and Educational Administration Quarterly, among others. I have been invited to deliver keynote addresses and lead seminars in my areas of expertise. I also extensive experience conducting program evaluations.
