Shannon Wheeler

Shannon Wheeler M.A. Ed., serves as ORD’s proposal developer and grant writer. She has her M.A. Ed. with 8+ years of demonstrated history of working in the field of higher education. Her experience spans a focus on academic advising, retention & persistence with underrepresented student populations, student affairs programming development, recruitment, admissions, marketing, and grantsmanship. Her most recent adventure has been strengthening community-engaged partnerships for UMKC. As a UMKC alumna, she is very excited to support faculty research. Working directly with Alexis, Shannon provides pre-pre award grant proposal development services for UMKC faculty by disseminating strategic grant proposal opportunities, helping form research collaborations, assisting with facilities descriptions, biosketches, and other required senior personnel and single copy documents and proofreading. #RoosDo
